Blended learning courses have both online and offline components. Classwork is typically done in person while homework, tests, and quizzes are typically done online.
Your Agora has a number of Blended learning course templates and we regularly add more. To create a course using one of our templates, select the template you wish to use when creating a course in the school panel. If you wish to create a course from scratch, you can also do so.
A blended learning course should have a lesson plan and print outs to be used in class and homework done online. Quizzes and tests can optionally be either printed out or done online depending on the school. If your course is using a textbook, then printouts may not be necessary but could still be helpful for supplemental activities.
If your class has a set start and end date and meets regularly, set the course as scheduled and fill in that information. If your class meets irregularly, then you may want to leave the course as unscheduled.
Once a course is ready, you will need to start it from the teacher or school panel. It will then be counted against your course limit until the course is stopped. You will not have to pay for any course until it is started.
Before a class starts, the teacher will want to review the lesson plan and print out any teacher material or classwork they may need. Notes and additional recourses can be saved in the class as teacher material and will be visible only to the teachers and administration.
Assignments meant to be done online should be reviewed by the teacher regularly to ensure students are completing their work and mastering the material. Any assignments that contain audio or text short answers will also need to be graded by the teacher.
School administrators can also regularly review class and student progress in the school panel by clicking on a course’s name from the course tab or by clicking on a student’s name from the student’s tab.
